Can I afford to buy right now?

It depends on your payment, not just the price. Before you fall in love with a house, talk to a lender and get a real number. I'm happy to introduce you to a couple I trust.

What should I watch out for in older homes?

Many homes here were built in the 1950s through the 1970s. What I have found is that roofs, furnaces, basements, and electrical are worth a close look. A good inspection is never wasted money.

Do I need a buyer's agent, and what does it cost?

The rules on buyer agent pay changed in 2024. I'll explain exactly how it works, in plain English, before you sign anything.
